Haas F1 Team driver Oliver Bearman has found a unique way to spend his time away from Formula 1. The 21-year-old Briton recently opened a bike shop and cafe in the hills above Monaco, a project he runs with a group of friends.
Speaking on the F1 Beyond The Grid podcast, Bearman revealed his growing passion for cycling. The sport has become a key part of his training regime for the 2026 F1 season, and now that interest has evolved into a real business venture in a popular cycling area.
“I have a bike shop with a few friends. We've opened up a bike shop above Monaco. It's a really popular area for cycling. It's really cool. We're really happy with how it's going,” Bearman said.

Living in Monaco, Bearman often rides the local mountain roads alongside Williams driver Carlos Sainz and five-time Tour de France winner Tadej Pogacar. He describes the project as a passion project, giving them a say in how the shop operates.
“It's more of a passion project for all of us because we really enjoy cycling, and it's nice to have a bit of a say in how the shop works,” he added.
The shop also doubles as a cafe, serving as a pitstop for cyclists on long mountain rides. Bearman proudly mentions their homemade banana bread and cakes. Although he admits he's not a coffee fan, he understands its importance for cyclists.
“That's really the main thing. We focus on good coffee. Although I don't really enjoy coffee—I know it's incredibly important and cyclists are very picky about coffee. That's one thing I've learned! But what I do enjoy is the cakes, and we have good cakes. So I'm proud,” he explained.
Meanwhile, Bearman's 2026 F1 season has been a mixed bag. He scored 17 points in the first two rounds in Australia and China, plus an additional point at the Canadian Grand Prix. However, retirements in Japan, Monaco, and Spain, along with several finishes outside the top 10 in the last four rounds, have left him 13th in the standings with 18 points.
