MotoGP 2027 Calendar Set for 22 Rounds, Adelaide Added

MotoGP has officially unveiled its 2027 calendar, featuring 22 Grands Prix from March through November. The new season will usher in a new era for MotoGP while introducing two new venues to the schedule in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Adelaide, Australia.

The 2027 season will begin at Buriram in Thailand on 7 March, following the season launch in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Round 1 will be followed by Qatar before MotoGP returns to Brazil for the race in Goiânia on 4 April. Buenos Aires will host Round 4 on 11 April before the opening sequence continues in Austin, United States.

The European run will begin at Jerez on 9 May before the championship heads to Le Mans, Mugello, Barcelona, Assen, Sachsenring and Brno ahead of the summer break. MotoGP will return to action at Silverstone on 15 August, followed by Spielberg on 29 August and Misano on 12 September.

After Aragon and Portimao, the calendar moves into its final flyaway sequence across Asia and Oceania. Japan will host the championship at Motegi on 17 October before Malaysia stages its Grand Prix at Sepang on 24 October. Indonesia will then host the next round at Mandalika on 31 October.

The final two rounds bring significant changes to the schedule. Adelaide will host Round 21 on 14 November at the new Adelaide Street Circuit, marking South Australia's debut on the MotoGP calendar. The event will take place through the heart of the city and serve as the penultimate Grand Prix of the 2027 season.

The season will then conclude in Valencia on 28 November. The Cheste circuit returns as the championship finale, completing a 22-round season spanning five continents throughout 2027.
