The lightweight class action ignited at Mobility Resort Motegi as the qualifying green light flashed. Veda Ega Pratama, representing Honda Team Asia, had to settle for eighteenth on the grid after suffering a crucial high-side crash mid-session.
The young Indonesian talent had shown promising pace since the practice sessions, securing a direct spot in Q2 following an impressive eighth-place finish in Practice. He immediately pushed hard to crack the top ten during the pole position shootout.
Unfortunately, disaster struck mid-session when a high-side incident forced him into an early exit, locking his best lap time at 1 minute 56.417 seconds.

Meanwhile, the battle for the ultimate glory at the front went to David Almansa. The Liqui Moly Dynavolt Intact GP rider mastered the Japanese circuit to snatch pole position with a blistering lap of 1 minute 54.572 seconds.
Almansa will share the front row with rising stars Brian Uriarte and Alvaro Carpe. The entire grid is now gearing up for Sunday's main race, which promises fierce wheel-to-wheel battles from the very first corner.
