Track temperatures soaring into the mid-50s°C set a brutal stage for the final practice session, but Kimi Antonelli made sure Mercedes turned their fortunes around dramatically following a notoriously difficult Friday.
Overnight simulator work paid massive dividends for the Silver Arrows. Having struggled to unlock low-speed corner performance with their heavy upgrades, Antonelli masterfully strung together a 1m36.302s lap on his second set of soft tyres, becoming the only driver to dip beneath the 1m37s barrier all weekend.
Red Bull kept their competitive momentum rolling as Max Verstappen claimed second place, though he found himself nearly three tenths adrift of the pacesetter. Rookie team-mate Isack Hadjar backed up the garage with third overall, despite wrestling early handling gremlins through the opening complex.

Further down the pitlane, McLaren battled hard to extract performance from the soft compound, forcing Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri down to seventh and eighth. Meanwhile, Franco Colapinto spearheaded the midfield fight for Alpine amid punishing track conditions.
