Max Verstappen began his Nurburgring 24H debut with an impressive third-place finish during Qualifying 1 for Mercedes-AMG Team Verstappen Racing.
The four-time Formula 1 world champion was the first driver to take to the Nordschleife in the #3 Red Bull-liveried Mercedes-AMG GT3 and immediately posted an early benchmark of 8 minutes 18.539 seconds.
Verstappen’s time was later beaten by Fabian Schiller driving for Mercedes-AMG Team Ravenol before Raffaele Marciello and ROWE Racing also moved ahead of Team Verstappen Racing.

Verstappen then handed the car over to Dani Juncadella, Jules Gounon, and Lucas Auer as part of the team’s endurance programme.
