Sunday at the Twin Ring Motegi kicked off with an unexpected dose of high-speed comedy during the specially curated Karting Challenge. While the exhibition event was designed to entertain over 120,000 fans in attendance, Marc Marquez completely stole the headlines by attempting to deploy a secret body double to handle his racing duties on the grid.
Suspension quickly arose on the starting grid when the rider suited up in the iconic red leather and helmet persistently refused to lift his visor despite demands from marshals and fierce competitors like Jorge Martin. Once exposed as an impostor, the decoy quietly abandoned the kart and retreated on foot down the pitlane, earning the Catalan star a sharp reprimand from the event organizers.
Away from the paddock mischief, the short exhibition race descended into delightful absolute chaos. Jorge Martin was immediately pinged by the stewards for a blatant jump start when the lights went out, while Alex Rins had already caught attention during the reconnaissance lap by illegally cutting straight through the chicane.

The victory fight came down to a breathtaking photo finish between Somkiat Chantra and Pedro Acosta, with the Thai rider edging ahead by mere centimeters. Meanwhile, Jack Miller provided his trademark comedy by taping bananas to his steering wheel and taking an unauthorized detour around Motegi's old oval layout.
