MotoGP, Sportrik Media - Marc Marquez suffered a heavy crash on the final lap of the 2026 French MotoGP Sprint Race at Le Mans on Saturday (9 May 2026) while battling inside the leading group for the Ducati Lenovo Team.
The incident occurred during the closing stages of the sprint when Marquez lost control of his motorcycle and crashed heavily into the run-off area. Replay footage showed the Spanish rider immediately holding his arm and leg after the impact.
Marquez was assisted by track marshals before leaving the crash scene for an initial medical assessment at the Le Mans circuit medical centre.
