Marc Marquez Dominates Aragon MotoGP Sprint to Victory

Marc Marquez put on a flawless performance at his home circuit, leading every lap to take a commanding victory in the MotoGP sprint race at Aragon.

Starting from second on the grid, Marquez launched an audacious move at Turn 1, overtaking polesitter Marco Bezzecchi with a trademark aggressive yet controlled maneuver. Bezzecchi ran wide, allowing Alex Marquez to slip into second, creating a Marquez brothers 1-2.

Behind them, championship leader Jorge Martin and Raul Fernandez engaged in a fierce battle. Pedro Acosta took advantage of their fight to move into fourth, but Martin fought back on the straight, only to make a mistake at Turn 10 later, losing position to Acosta again.

Marc Marquez was untroubled at the front, maintaining a comfortable gap over Alex Marquez and Bezzecchi, who were battling for second. At the checkered flag, Marquez crossed 1.140s ahead of Alex, with Bezzecchi completing the podium in third.

Acosta finished fourth after showing strong race pace but two errors cost him a potential podium. Martin had to settle for fifth, a result that may feel disappointing given his title fight.

Fermin Aldeguer took sixth after a last-lap duel with Diogo Moreira, while Johann Zarco, returning from injury, scored the final point in ninth, just ahead of Jack Miller. Francesco Bagnaia struggled throughout the sprint, finishing 11th. Fabio Quartararo retired with an engine failure, while Luca Marini and Fabio Di Giannantonio crashed out.
