Formula 1, Sportrik Media – Kimi Antonelli finished fastest on the final day of the opening 2026 Bahrain pre-season test, delivering a one-two result for Mercedes AMG Petronas.
Antonelli took over the car from George Russell for the afternoon session and posted a 1:33.669 that remained unbeaten until the chequered flag. Russell secured second place with a 1:33.918, underlining Mercedes’ consistent pace throughout the day.
Lewis Hamilton triggered a late red flag after his Scuderia Ferrari stopped on track with 10 minutes remaining. Although the session resumed, Hamilton’s 1:34.209 was enough to claim third position.
Oscar Piastri placed fourth for McLaren, while Max Verstappen rounded out the top five for Red Bull Racing.
