Jorge Martin retained the lead of the 2026 MotoGP World Championship after the German Grand Prix Sprint at the Sachsenring with 197 points.
The Aprilia rider now holds an 11-point advantage over team-mate Marco Bezzecchi, who remains second on 186 points. Fabio Di Giannantonio is close behind in third with 184, leaving him only 13 points away from Martin.
Ai Ogura occupies fourth place with 174 points, while victory in the Sachsenring Sprint strengthened Marc Marquez’s hold on fifth with 165. Marquez has reduced his deficit to the championship lead to 32 points.

Raul Fernandez sits sixth with 143 points, followed by Pedro Acosta on 135. Francesco Bagnaia is two points further back in eighth after reaching 133 points.
Alex Marquez holds ninth place with 87 points, while Fermin Aldeguer completes the top 10 on 76. A significant gap has now developed between the leading eight riders and the rest of the standings.
The championship fight remains open, with the leading five riders separated by only 32 points. Di Giannantonio is two points behind Bezzecchi, while Ogura trails third place by just 10.
Sunday’s German MotoGP race will give Martin another opportunity to protect his advantage, while Marquez, Di Giannantonio and Ogura aim to close the gap before the championship enters its summer break.
