Joan Mir Returns at Sepang 2026 After Overcoming Extreme Vision Issues

Joan Mir is back in the MotoGP paddock ahead of the Sepang weekend after being forced into a lengthy absence due to severe vision problems and extreme fatigue earlier in the season.

The Mallorcan rider admitted that his recovery period was mentally grueling due to the initial uncertainty surrounding his symptoms before seeking medical intervention from Dr. Angel Charte.

Unlike a standard bone fracture with predictable timelines, the invisible nature of the ailment took a heavy toll. However, Honda management, including Alberto Puig, provided unwavering respect and assistance throughout his sideline period.

Aunque al principio tidak langsung paham, perlahan semuanya membaik dan saya siap menghadapi empat balapan terakhir," he concluded.
