Jack Miller Says Post-MotoGP Decision Nearing Amid Yamaha WSBK Rumours

Jack Miller has revealed that negotiations with Yamaha regarding his future are progressing well, with an announcement potentially coming in the next few weeks. The Australian strongly hinted at a switch to the World Superbike Championship for 2027, ending his 12-season MotoGP career.

This comes amid reports that Yamaha is set to promote Izan Guevara from Moto2 to partner Toprak Razgatlioglu at Pramac, leaving no room for Miller in MotoGP. However, his ties with the Japanese manufacturer may continue in the production-based series, potentially replacing Xavi Vierge.

"We're talking with everybody and trying to understand what is the best step for me going forward. Hopefully, I will have some news in the next few weeks," Miller said. He also emphasized alignment with Yamaha, citing two Suzuka 8 Hours podiums and a best MotoGP finish of fifth as proof of his strong relationship with the brand.

The switch to WorldSBK is intriguing as Michelin takes over as the official tyre supplier in 2027. Miller, with over a decade of Michelin experience in MotoGP, believes his knowledge could be invaluable. "I can bring some information across, but Ducati is immensely strong. We have to understand what steps to take to beat them," he added.

Miller admitted the writing is on the wall for his MotoGP career. "I'm not naive. I know it's coming," he said. Yamaha's lack of competitiveness over the past two seasons has been a major factor, yet Miller feels he is riding at his best level. He looks forward to proving his worth in a new arena.
