The weekend at Sepang highlighted a very promising display of raw pace from the Red Bull stable, with Max Verstappen securing the team's maiden pole position of the season. However, that joy was slightly tempered for Isack Hadjar, who despite claiming third in qualifying was handed a five-place grid drop for a power unit component change.
This setback forces the young French driver to line up from eighth on the starting grid, setting the stage for a demanding recovery mission during the grand prix.
Despite the hurdles, the encouraging technical feedback from the car's handling has left him feeling exceptionally positive. The improved chassis responsiveness gives him the satisfaction of knowing he can finally push closer to the sharp end of the grid with a predictable machine.

Targeting a finish inside the top three requires clearing major hurdles, including both Mercedes and Ferrari machines, on a circuit notorious for cooking its tires under intense ambient temperatures.
With overtaking proving to be a complex task under high thermal degradation, the team's strategic execution will dictate whether his ambitious podium target remains within realistic reach.
