Isack Hadjar endured a bittersweet Sunday in Bahrain, labeling his race a personal disaster despite Red Bull celebrating a milestone historic victory with their brand-new in-house power unit.
The young French charger looked firmly on course to secure a stellar podium finish after carving through the field early on and solidifying his place inside the top four behind his teammate and the leading silver arrows.
However, late drama unfolded when a safety car intervention bunched the pack up with just three laps remaining. A sudden battery drain crippled his RB22 down the straights, completely robbing him of defensive energy and rear grip when it mattered most.

Seasoned rivals instantly pounced on the unexpected vulnerability as Lewis Hamilton and Ferrari sliced past in quick succession. The late-race heartbreak dropped Hadjar down to fifth at the checkered flag, erasing a weekend of otherwise blistering pace.
While acknowledging the monumental team milestone achieved by Mercedes and Red Bull's engine project, the rookie admitted deep frustration and stressed the urgent need to resolve the chassis and energy recovery gremlins before heading to Singapore.
