Enea Bastianini has finally rediscovered his magical touch after navigating a challenging couple of years in the premier class. A stellar performance at Motegi proved the Italian rider is far from finished and ready to make waves.
The KTM Tech3 rider nearly secured a podium finish after clocking four consecutive record race laps in the closing stages. Although he had to settle for fourth behind Marco Bezzecchi, this impressive display marks a crucial turning point in his adaptation to the RC16 machine.
Contextually, this result highlights a rare feat: it is only the second time this season that a rider other than Pedro Acosta finished as the top KTM rider in a Grand Prix. The decision to run the hard tyre compound during Sunday morning warm-up unlocked Bastianini's incredible late-race pace.

Tech3 team manager Nicolas Goyon revealed that the rider returned to the garage with a big smile, confident that the tyre perfectly suited his smooth style. The tyre management prowess that defines Bastianini's career came alive precisely when it mattered most.
Sunday's strong charge erased the disappointment of the previous day's sprint race, where a track limits penalty stripped him of a top-three finish. As he prepares for his future switch to Trackhouse Aprilia in 2027, 'Bestia' has proven he remains a formidable force in the MotoGP paddock.
