A breathtaking battle unfolded in the lightweight class as David Almansa secured a brilliant victory in a nail-biting Japanese Grand Prix showdown. Starting from pole position, the talented Spaniard made a stellar start to control the race from the very first corner.
This hard-fought win successfully postponed Maximo Quiles from clinching the Moto3 world championship crown this weekend. Almansa kept his composure under intense pressure in the closing laps, narrowing the standings gap to 127 points as the Aspar rider needed a 150-point margin to wrap up the title.
The race featured relentless lead changes, with Brian Uriarte initially launching a strong challenge for the front. However, a promising podium charge for Uriarte evaporated after receiving a double long lap penalty due to a grid infringement by his team.

As the chequered flag approached, Quiles hunted down the long-time leader in a tense final-lap duel. Almansa firmly slammed the door shut to take the checkered flag first, while Alvaro Carpe rounded out the podium in third place.
