Christian Horner Returns to British F1 Paddock

Christian Horner has returned to the Formula 1 paddock for the first time since his exit from Red Bull in July last year.

Horner's appearance came at Silverstone, the venue of his final race while still in charge of Red Bull. He arrived at the circuit around three hours before the start of the British Grand Prix, marking his first public return to the F1 paddock environment.

Horner had led Red Bull for 20 years before parting ways with the team just days after the 2025 British Grand Prix. His exit terms were then formally completed in September last year after a severance package was agreed.

He subsequently entered a period of gardening leave. That phase has now ended, meaning he is free in principle to take up a Formula 1 role again if one is offered to him.

During his Silverstone visit, Horner first went to the F1 motorhome before heading towards the FIA area. The appearance drew attention because he had not been seen in the F1 paddock since leaving the Milton Keynes-based team.

Although he has not yet secured a permanent new position, Horner remains one of the most influential management figures in modern F1 history. During his time at Red Bull, the team enjoyed major periods of success with Sebastian Vettel and Max Verstappen.

Horner's return to the paddock does not immediately confirm a new role, but it underlines that his post-Red Bull restriction period has ended. Attention now turns to whether his Silverstone appearance becomes the first step towards a new involvement within the F1 structure.
