Chery Group officially launched its latest flagship SUV, Omoda X, during the Omoda X Night event held in Wuhu, China. This premiere highlights Chery Group's ongoing efforts to expand its premium vehicle lineup designed to meet global consumer demands.
Adopting the Cross Off-Road Vehicle concept, Omoda X bridges three vehicle characters simultaneously: SUV reliability, off-road toughness, and the dynamic driving sensation typical of sports cars. Visually, Omoda X stands out by adopting a distinct mecha-style design language. Sharp body lines deliver a solid yet futuristic impression from all angles, reinforced by modern LED headlights.
As a flagship SUV, Omoda X is equipped with physical specifications supporting outdoor adventures. The vehicle features a ground clearance of 200 mm, providing a safe distance when traversing rough obstacles or uneven road surfaces. To handle wet terrain, Omoda X is engineered with a wading depth of up to 700 mm.
Carrying capacity and functionality are also primary focuses in the development of Omoda X. The vehicle can tow up to 1.8 tons, making it reliable for towing needs or carrying extra equipment. Up top, the roof structure of Omoda X is designed to withstand static and dynamic loads of up to 75 kg, making it ideal for roof rack installation or rooftop tents.
Stepping inside the cabin, Omoda X introduces a futuristic cockpit atmosphere named the Mecha Command Cockpit. Its interior layout adopts the X-Console concept featuring a floating center console housing a 13.2-inch touchscreen as the main control center for entertainment and vehicle information. This technology ensures drivers get optimal connectivity and control throughout the journey.
