Bulega Controls Superpole Race, Claims Pole for Race 2 at Magny-Cours

Nicolo Bulega delivered a masterclass in control during the WorldSBK Superpole Race at Magny-Cours, securing a dominant victory and pole position for Race 2.

After a brief challenge from teammate Iker Lecuona, the Ducati rider quickly reclaimed the lead and never looked back, crossing the line with a comfortable margin.

Drama Unfolds in the Battle for Fourth

Behind the leading duo, a fierce fight between Sam Lowes and Alberto Surra played perfectly into the hands of Yari Montella. The Italian moved up to fourth, and a late crash from Lowes handed him the final podium spot.

Lowes and Surra had been locked in a tense duel, but Lowes's hopes ended in a crash at the Estoril corner on the very last lap.

Alex Lowes finished fifth, ahead of Tom Bridewell, who showed no ill effects from his heavy Race 1 crash. Lorenzo Baldassarri took seventh for GoEleven, just ahead of Xavi Vierge in eighth, while Remy Gardner rounded out the top nine.

Implications for Race 2 Grid

The top nine result sets the first three rows for Race 2, while Andrea Locatelli, Axel Bassani, Miguel Oliveira, Garrett Gerloff, Jake Dixon, and Alvaro Bautista will start based on their original Superpole qualifying order.
