Brian Uriarte was the fastest rider in the second free practice session (FP2) of Moto3 at Silverstone on Saturday morning. The Red Bull KTM Ajo rider clocked a 2'09.847 at the end of the session, ahead of Maximo Quiles and David Almansa. Meanwhile, home rider Scott Ogden finished fourth despite a crash.
Session Highlights
FP2 took place ahead of qualifying for the British Grand Prix. Scott Ogden had another difficult start to the weekend. After crashing on Friday, he fell again at Turn 3 with just over 20 minutes remaining. Soon after, Casey O'Gorman also crashed.
Midway through the session, David Almansa set the fastest lap. The Liqui Moly Dynavolt Intact GP rider led Uriarte, Quiles, Valentin Perrone, and Adrian Fernandez. However, as the session entered its final minutes, the pace increased significantly. With less than five minutes to go, Uriarte took over the top spot with a 2'09.847, which remained unbeaten until the chequered flag.

FP2 Results
Quiles had to settle for second, just 0.088 seconds behind Uriarte. Almansa completed the provisional podium, 0.156 seconds off the pace. Ogden, despite his crash, held on to fourth, 0.262 seconds behind, while Perrone rounded out the top five.
This result provides an interesting preview ahead of qualifying. Uriarte showed strong pace in both wet and dry conditions, while Quiles remained consistent at the front. Ogden, impressing in front of his home crowd, will hope to improve further in qualifying later today.
