Bagnaia: We Don't Know What to Do After Silverstone MotoGP Crash

Pecco Bagnaia ended the British MotoGP weekend in deep frustration after crashing on lap nine of the Silverstone Grand Prix on Sunday. The fall occurred as he attempted to recover from a season-worst 16th on the grid.

The incident added to a catalogue of issues the factory Ducati rider faced all weekend. Earlier, in Saturday's Sprint, he struggled even to get his knee down due to extreme tyre degradation in the closing stages.

Bagnaia admitted he had never experienced such a front-end loss. "Very strange, honestly. I've never lost the front exiting from a corner," he said. "Looking at the data, it's very difficult to see something. The only thing is that I completely lost the front in a matter of milliseconds."

He added that the result was hard to accept, as this had been one of the toughest weekends of his season. "I struggled to be close to the top 10 all weekend. Today there was a little possibility of finishing in the top 10, but I struggled a lot. We need to rise from this situation, because I don't want to do another weekend like this one," he said.

Notably, Bagnaia highlighted a grip issue he has felt since the start of the season. "I changed everything, setup, electronic side. But the problem's not that. From the first race of the season, I don't have any grip, completely zero. We don't know what to do, because there are riders in Ducati that have a lot," he explained.

In contrast, Gresini's Alex Marquez was the leading Ducati rider in fourth, behind a trio of Aprilias. Bagnaia's factory teammate Marc Marquez finished seventh. The situation highlights the performance disparity within the Ducati camp.

With this result, Bagnaia lost valuable points in the title fight. The pressure is mounting for the two-time defending champion, and Ducati must find a solution before the next round in Austria.
