Apple TV, Formula 1's exclusive United States broadcasting partner, has confirmed that this weekend's Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia will be available to stream entirely free of charge. No subscription required—just open the platform and watch.
The move is part of Apple TV's plan to lower the barrier to entry for fans by offering selected rounds and practice sessions for free. The race weekend at Sepang International Circuit will be fully accessible, from practice to qualifying and the race itself.
Despite being free, the broadcast retains premium features. The world feed will be delivered in 4K resolution with 5.1 surround sound, and the Multiview function will be available, along with Dedicated Data and Podium Multiviews. It's a full-fledged premium experience at no cost.

This race is the second part of a triple-header, following the Azerbaijan Grand Prix. At Baku, George Russell converted pole position into victory, closing the gap to his Mercedes teammate and championship leader Kimi Antonelli.
Antonelli currently leads by 66 points over Russell, who sits second. Ferrari's Lewis Hamilton is third, a further 37 points behind Russell. The battle is heating up as the season progresses, and Sepang could be a pivotal moment.
To access the free stream, viewers simply need to go to the Formula 1 section on the Apple TV platform and select the Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia. No active subscription is required to launch the live stream.
Here's the full schedule: Thursday, October 1 at 4:30am ET (Weekend Warm-Up). Friday, October 2: Practice 1 at 12:10am ET, Practice 2 at 3:40am ET. Saturday, October 3: Practice 3 at 12:10am ET, Qualifying at 3:25am ET. And the race on Sunday, October 4 at 1:50am ET.
With this free access, Apple TV hopes to reach more fans in the US and deliver a top-tier viewing experience without cost barriers. Don't miss out.
