Kimi Antonelli found a uniquely Italian way to celebrate his first Formula 1 victory on home soil. The Mercedes driver produced a stunning drive, charging from 19th on the grid to the top step of the podium, passing team-mate George Russell in the closing laps.

After soaking in the adulation of the fans, Antonelli was in no mood to end the party quickly. He even went crowdsurfing. Later, he returned to the podium with his trophy, which was filled with pasta, and shared the moment on social media.

"It's hard to describe yesterday, it's a dream come true," wrote Antonelli. "What I experienced is something I will never forget. The Monza podium is indescribable: the warmth of all the fans and the sea of people that never ends."

This celebration echoes F1's tradition of quirky rituals, like Daniel Ricciardo's 'shoey', or NHL players eating from the Stanley Cup. Antonelli now heads to Madrid with a 66-point lead over Russell in the championship.
