The 2026 Formula E season reaches its climax at the London E-Prix this weekend. Two final races at the ExCeL Centre on 15-16 August will determine who deserves to be crowned world champion. With nine drivers still mathematically in contention, the situation is wide open.
Most notably, this marks the end of the Gen3 era. After four years, the third-generation car will retire, replaced by Gen4 next season. London also hosts the final indoor-outdoor circuit at ExCeL, as the UK round moves to Brands Hatch from next year.
Not to forget, Lucas di Grassi will say goodbye after being an icon of Formula E since the beginning. But the main focus remains on the title fight. Only five points separate the top three: Jake Dennis, Mitch Evans, and Pascal Wehrlein. Oliver Rowland is also still in the mix, though with a bigger gap.
Dennis arrives as the slight favourite, Evans wants to end his time at Jaguar with a title, Wehrlein seeks redemption after losing his crown last year, and Rowland pursues back-to-back championships. Four names, one destiny.
The weekend schedule is packed. Friday (14/8) starts with first practice at 16:00 BST. Saturday and Sunday each feature practice, qualifying, and a race. Saturday's race uses Pit Boost, while Sunday's uses two Attack Modes. Both races start at 15:00 BST, deliberately avoiding a clash with Formula 1.
