The morning warm-up session ahead of the final races at the 2026 Spanish WorldSBK round at the Circuito de Jerez-Angel Nieto delivered a thrilling preview of the action. Alex Lowes set the early pace in Sunday's warm-up session, briefly leading the timesheets ahead of reigning world champion Nicolo Bulega as riders dialed in their machinery.
However, the hierarchy shifted rapidly when Bulega reclaimed top spot on his very next lap. The battle at the front intensified moments later when factory Ducati team-mate Iker Lecuona posted the fastest time aboard his Panigale V4 R.
First place continued to change hands heading into the closing stages of the session. Marc VDS rider Sam Lowes, who previously created a rare upset by splitting the factory riders in Race 1, stormed to the top and remained at the head of the leaderboard.

Lowes held firm at the summit until the final 30 seconds of the session. It came as little surprise when Bulega produced a blistering final effort, posting a benchmark lap time of 1m37.907s to edge out Lowes by just under half a tenth of a second.
Looking further down the order, the highest non-Ducati representative was Alex Lowes in fifth position, following a familiar competitive pattern witnessed throughout the paddock this weekend.
