The season finale at the Jerez circuit marked an emotional farewell for Danilo Petrucci as he officially concluded an unforgettable chapter of his professional motorcycle racing career in the WorldSBK paddock.
The Italian rider spent his final race weekend reflecting on a remarkable journey filled with intense battles, victories, and unique experiences alongside BMW after years of dedication to two-wheel motorsport.
Speaking from the paddock in Jerez, Petrucci opened up about the profound significance of the weekend, admitting that the weight of the moment made it difficult for him to sleep the night before the final races of the season.

"Ha sido un dia precioso y muy emocionante para mi. Anoche me costo dormir. Ha sido un viaje increible y nunca imagine que llegaria a vivir todo esto. Estoy muy feliz," shared the veteran rider as he looked back on his racing milestones.
Reflecting on his ambitions, he explained that his primary motivation for returning to the production-based championship was the relentless pursuit of a world title, and while the ultimate goal remained out of reach, he expressed immense pride in the collective effort.
"Decidi regresar a Superbikes porque queria ganar un Campeonato del Mundo," he noted, while also acknowledging his prestigious stints as a factory rider for Ducati and other major European manufacturers.
According to Motosan.es, Petrucci’s rise from a rural Italian background to competing at the absolute pinnacle of global motorsport stands as a powerful testament to perseverance and passion in the racing world.
