F.C.C. TSR Honda France took the lead of the 2026 Bol d'Or in the third hour, overtaking BMW Motorrad World Endurance Team in a tight duel. The 24-hour race is only three hours old, but the intensity at the front already feels like a sprint.
The #5 F.C.C. TSR Honda France now leads on track after passing the #37 BMW Motorrad World Endurance Team. The two have been locked in a fierce battle since the second hour, when the top three were separated by less than three seconds. Following the latest round of pit stops, Honda fought its way back into the lead, snatching top spot from the Belgian squad.
However, the reigning champions are lurking. YART Yamaha, with the #1 plate, sits third, only about 30 seconds behind the leader. The EWC championship leaders recovered from an early drop down the grid and are now within striking distance.
Behind the leading trio, the #76 AutoRace Ube Racing Team BMW holds fourth, followed by the #12 Yoshimura SERT Motul Suzuki in fifth. The battle in the second group is also tight, with minimal gaps between the machines.
Unfortunately, the race hasn't been smooth for everyone. The #6 ERC Endurance BMW had to serve a stop-and-go penalty for an incorrect refuelling procedure. Meanwhile, the experimental #45 Metiss bike slowed with a mechanical issue but managed to stay out on track. The #4 Tati Team AVA6 Racing Honda was less fortunate, stopping on the Mistral Straight and having to be towed back to the pits.
With over 20 hours remaining, strategy and reliability will be crucial. F.C.C. TSR Honda France currently has the upper hand, but YART Yamaha and BMW Motorrad are far from giving up. Endurance racing often delivers surprises in the crucial hours, and we've only witnessed the opening chapter of a thrilling contest.
