Closing out the 2026 WorldSBK championship season at Jerez, Bimota ensured all eyes were locked onto their machines with a breathtaking retro aesthetic. Following the trend of special factory showcases during the season finale, the squad opted for a remarkably elegant transformation for the final races of the year.
Both seasoned rider Alex Lowes and his teammate took to the Spanish circuit aboard the KB998 Rimini machines, finished in a deep gloss black. The dark fairings were sharply contrasted by delicate golden and red pinstripes running cleanly along the aggressive lines of the motorcycle.
While the sophisticated combination immediately brought iconic motorsport eras to mind for many traditional fans, the team confirmed that the inspiration for the 'Nero' design actually stems from their own rich heritage. Specifically, the visual layout mirrors a rare variant of the 1985 DB1 originally built exclusively for the Australian market.

On the competitive front, the season-ending round yielded respectable results as well. Lowes powered his machine to a solid seventh-place finish in Race 2, with his companion crossing the line closely behind in eighth position. These results comfortably established the duo as the highest-placed non-Ducati competitors on the grid.
Utilizing modern Kawasaki powerplant engineering wrapped in a vintage aesthetic, the special presentation highlighted the brand's willingness to honor its storied past while pushing forward into a competitive future. The striking machines successfully blended classic heritage with contemporary racing aggression.
