Ahead of the final race day of the 2026 DTM season at the iconic Hockenheimring, the SRO technical department has implemented minor adjustments to the Balance of Performance. This crucial decision comes after the Aston Martin camp struggled near the back of the field during the opening race of the weekend.
Based on the latest technical bulletin for Sunday's action, the British coupe sheds ten kilograms of weight. With this adjustment, the Aston Martin Vantage now tips the scales at 1,295 kilograms, making it the lightest car in the entire starting grid for the season finale.
In addition to the weight reduction, the boost pressure in the high RPM range has been increased to give the car more power on the straightaways. To maintain aerodynamic balance, the minimum rear wing angle is also raised by four degrees to eleven degrees.

Conversely, the Mercedes-AMG GT3 has been handed a five-kilogram weight penalty. This adjustment brings the German contender's total weight to 1,340 kilograms, officially establishing it as the heaviest car in the current field.
These technical tweaks are expected to shake up the competitive order during the title-deciding races. As reported by Speedweek, all other competing manufacturers remain entirely unchanged in their technical specifications compared to previous sessions.
