Kimi Antonelli will start the Italian Grand Prix from the back of the grid after his team confirmed an engine penalty. The Mercedes driver remains the center of attention at the circuit dubbed the Temple of Speed.

Holding a 59-point advantage over George Russell and Lewis Hamilton in the standings, Antonelli faces a tough task on Sunday. However, he still has a great opportunity to shine in front of his home crowd.

Fierce Battle Ahead

Ferrari has brought its upgraded power unit to Monza for the first time to close the gap to Mercedes and McLaren. Lando Norris has won the last two weekends, while McLaren has also debuted its rotating rear wing, dubbed the H-Wing.

Russell was fastest in Friday's practice, displacing Ferrari's early pace led by Charles Leclerc in FP1. The pressure is now on the home team to deliver a perfect performance at their own backyard.

Energy Management Key to the Race

Super-clipping is expected to be a significant issue this weekend, especially on the run to Turn 1. Energy is spent down the back straight, with no heavy braking for Parabolica, and the main straight immediately following.

How drivers manage their energy will be more crucial than ever. This could be the decisive factor that reshapes the competitive landscape in Sunday's race.
