Heading into the Dutch Grand Prix weekend, the team hopes to re-establish its credentials in the midfield. The upgrade package includes significant changes to the floor, with new body, board, and edge elements designed to increase downforce at the rear.
In addition to the floor, Alpine brings a reworked diffuser with new geometry to improve aerodynamic efficiency. The bodywork around the sidepod and coke area has also been modified to complement the floor upgrades. Rear brake drum elements and a new rear impact structure complete the extensive list.
Notably, a new rear wing with the latest flap geometry will be fitted, aimed at "efficiently increasing rear wing load while maintaining a high-quality, stable flowfield." This comprehensive approach signals Alpine's determination to fight back.
Meanwhile, McLaren and Ferrari also arrive with upgrades. McLaren focuses on improving airflow and rear downforce for the MCL40, including a new rear wing assembly and engine cover modifications. Ferrari brings a completely reworked floor for the SF-26, hoping to boost aerodynamic efficiency and close the gap to Mercedes.
