The battle for supremacy at the Alex Lowes led the final practice session ahead of the WorldSBK qualifying showdown at Circuito Estoril. The seasoned contender delivered a blistering lap time of 1 minute 34.740 seconds to secure the benchmark position.
Action on track initially ignited under the pace of defending world champion Nicolo Bulega, who quickly dipped below the 1-minute 35-second barrier. The Italian rider traded fast laps with his teammate before the rest of the grid found their rhythm as track conditions evolved.
Mid-session drama unfolded when Yari Montella suffered a heart-stopping moment at the first corner, narrowly avoiding a heavy crash through an incredible save. As the clock wound down, the intensity peaked with rapid improvements across the entire field.

Lowes ultimately snatched the top spot away from Bulega, who finished a mere 0.083 seconds adrift in second place. Alberto Surra continued to turn heads by slotting his machine into an impressive third position overall.
Meanwhile, Dutch rider Twan Smits worked tirelessly to extract maximum performance from his package, improving his personal best to 1 minute 36.758 seconds to wrap up the morning session in twenty-first place.
