Long-term stability has officially been secured by the Racing Bulls squad after Alan Permane signed a new contract extension as Formula 1 team principal. This confirmation ensures that the experienced figure will lead the Faenza-based outfit through to the end of the 2031 season, providing a solid foundation for the team's future in the fierce world of motorsport.
Permane's career journey in the Formula 1 paddock is widely recognized for its incredible longevity and dedication. Before joining the squad formerly known as RB ahead of the 2024 campaign as racing director, he was a stalwart of the Alpine squad where he worked from 1989 to 2023 in various vital capacities including race engineer and sporting director. His promotion to the team principal role followed internal management shifts within the Red Bull organization.
Oliver Mintzlaff, CEO Corporate Projects and Investments Red Bull, expressed high praise for the leadership performance demonstrated by the team principal. According to him, the significant progress shown by the team is a direct reflection of the extensive experience, total commitment, and competitive mindset that Permane brings to the garage.

"Alan is doing a tremendous job, and the progress the team has made is a direct reflection of his experience, commitment and competitive mindset. He brings clarity, composure, and a deep understanding of what it takes to perform in Formula 1, while creating an environment where people can consistently deliver at their best," Mintzlaff stated.
Furthermore, Mintzlaff emphasized that the leadership combination between Permane and Peter Bayer as Co-CEO Commercial forms a very solid and experienced management synergy. This stability is deemed crucial to maintaining positive momentum and long-term organizational ambitions within the intense midfield battle.
Meanwhile, Alan Permane welcomed the immense trust bestowed upon him by the Red Bull hierarchy. He expressed immense pride in the collective hard work demonstrated by all team members trackside, in Faenza, and in Milton Keynes in building a competitive culture.
"I am immensely proud to be continuing this journey with VCARB, and I would like to thank everyone at Red Bull for the trust and support they have given me. What makes this team special is the shared spirit of everyone; trackside, in Faenza and in Milton Keynes, and it is a privilege to lead such a talented and committed group every day," Permane remarked.
The performance trajectory of Racing Bulls under Permane's leadership has indeed shown consistent upward growth year after year. After collecting 46 points in 2024, the points tally jumped to 92 the following season, and has now reached 108 points in the current campaign, positioning them firmly on course to secure fifth place in the constructors' championship standings.
