Ugo Ugochukwu has officially sealed the 2026 Formula 3 championship in Madrid, Spain, on Saturday (Feature Race 2). The American driver delivered a consistent season and is now uncatchable at the top of the standings. Meanwhile, Tuukka Taponen won the F3 Feature Race 2, but all eyes were on Ugochukwu as he secured the title early.
In Formula 2, Dino Beganovic put on a dominant display to win the first Feature Race in Madrid. The Swedish driver finished ahead of Alex Dunne in second and Ritomo Miyata in third.
The F2 race was fiercely contested from the start. Beganovic capitalized on his starting position and immediately took control. Dunne and Miyata tried to keep up, but Beganovic's pace was too strong. This victory is a valuable boost for Beganovic in this season's title fight.

Behind the podium, several drivers suffered misfortune. John Bennett (TRIDENT), Oliver Goethe (MP Motorsport), and Kush Maini (ART Grand Prix) were forced to retire early with DNFs. Meanwhile, Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak, Martinius Stenshorne, and Laurens Van Hoepen finished in positions 6, 8, and 12 respectively.
For Ugochukwu, the 2026 F3 title is a major milestone in his career. He joins a long list of young drivers who have succeeded in this series before stepping up to F2 or even F1. His performance in Madrid reinforces his reputation as one of the most promising talents from the United States.
With the results in Spain, the battles in F2 and F3 will continue to the next round. Beganovic will look to maintain momentum, while drivers like Dunne and Miyata will be eager to close the gap. The 2026 season is still long, and every point will be crucial in the title hunt.
