Yuki Tsunoda's 10th-place finish at the Italian Grand Prix is under threat after the Racing Bulls driver was summoned to the stewards at Monza post-race.

Tsunoda returned to the cockpit this weekend as a stand-in for Liam Lawson, who is racing at Red Bull in place of the injured Isack Hadjar.

The Japanese driver endured a difficult qualifying session and started down the order, but managed to climb to 10th place at the chequered flag.

However, he is now being investigated for a starting infringement. Following a red flag period triggered by Charles Leclerc's heavy crash, Tsunoda lined up in the wrong grid slot as the race was about to resume.

That prompted race control to initiate an aborted start, allowing cars to realign in their proper positions. Tsunoda is scheduled to see the stewards at 17:45 local time.

If found guilty, Tsunoda could lose his first points with Racing Bulls this season, a significant blow for the Faenza-based squad in the constructors' championship battle.
