Sutton Wins Again at Knockhill, Ingram Fails to Finish

Ash Sutton took another win in British Touring Car Championship at Knockhill, while title rival Tom Ingram failed to finish, marking a defining moment in the season.

Starting from pole, Adam Morgan led the field away, but Sutton quickly dispatched Gordon Shedden and Dan Rowbottom to take the lead. Meanwhile, Ingram pitted at the end of the first lap with significant front-end damage after contact with Shedden at the Black Circles Chicane.

The safety car was deployed after Aiden Moffat spun at Duffus Dip. Racing resumed on lap six, with the race extended to 27 laps. On lap 11, Sutton out-braked Rowbottom at Taylor's Hairpin to take the lead.

Behind, a fierce battle for the podium unfolded. Ricky Collard eventually passed Morgan for third. Dan Cammish and Charles Rainford impressed, gaining ten places from their starts.

In the closing laps, another safety car period was triggered when Chris Smiley beached his car in the gravel. The race restarted with a one-lap sprint. Sutton stormed away to secure his second win of the weekend, with Rowbottom and Collard completing the podium.

This result leaves Ingram's title hopes in tatters, while Sutton strengthens his championship lead. It was a defining performance from the NAPA Racing UK driver.
