Matt Stone Racing stand-in driver Jones has firmly set his sights on securing a full-time main game seat in the Supercars championship following a stellar fourth-place finish at the demanding Bathurst 1000.
The Porsche star initially found himself without a co-drive for the 2025 season after being let go by Team 18, leaving his professional motorsport career in limbo. However, a late call-up to replace Cameron Crick alongside Jack Le Brocq in the #4 Chevrolet Camaro completely revived his momentum amid treacherous racing conditions.
After delivering an impressive 10th-place finish at The Bend 500, Jones produced a standout drive at Mount Panorama to lock his co-driver partner into the finals. Speaking to Speedcafe, he admitted that he hopes his recent performances have proven his worth to team bosses ahead of the upcoming silly season.

"I hope I'm on people's radar for a main game seat," Jones told Speedcafe. "I know there are a few seats that might come available in the silly season this year and I'll definitely be putting my name forward."
Alongside his endurance heroics, Jones also extended his commanding lead at the top of the Carrera Cup standings with a pair of dominant victories and a strong third-place result, marking a night-and-day improvement in his racecraft and overall car comprehension.
