WRC, Sportrik Media - Sebastien Ogier moved to the brink of victory at the 2026 Acropolis Rally Greece after extending his advantage during SS16. The Toyota Gazoo Racing driver set the fastest time on the penultimate stage before the rally-ending Power Stage.
The fight for victory took a dramatic turn when Thierry Neuville suffered a puncture while chasing Ogier. The Hyundai Shell Mobis World Rally Team driver was forced to complete the final eight kilometres on a damaged tyre, losing almost one minute.
Ogier's lead consequently increased to 54.8 seconds over Neuville heading into the Power Stage. Takamoto Katsuta remained third overall, while Josh McErlean held fourth despite running wide and becoming stuck for more than 30 seconds during the stage.

The battle for fifth also intensified as Sami Pajari climbed ahead of Adrien Fourmaux by just 0.1 seconds. Elfyn Evans, Dani Sordo, Martins Sesks and Robert Virves completed the overall top ten after SS16.
Only the Power Stage now remains to decide the 2026 Acropolis Rally Greece. Although Ogier carries a commanding advantage, the eight-time world champion insisted there is still work to do before securing victory.
