Bayley Hall stole the show in the co-driver practice session at The Bend Motorsport Park on Friday afternoon. The rookie set the fastest time of 1:17.4275s in the Team 18 Camaro, beating more experienced campaigners.
It was the second consecutive session topped by Chevrolet after Jayden Ojeda went quickest in the first practice. Hall, who will partner Mark Winterbottom in the endurance races, showed immense potential at the 4.95km circuit.
Bathurst 1000 winner Todd Hazelwood had to settle for second. The Dick Johnson Racing driver was just 0.0249s adrift of Hall with a 1:17.4524s. The tiny margin highlighted the fierce competition among the co-drivers.

Ford dominated positions second through eighth. Scott Pye (Triple Eight) was third, followed by Mark Winterbottom (Tickford Racing), Tony D'Alberto (Dick Johnson Racing), Tim Slade (Grove Racing), Will Davison (Grove Racing), and Jack Perkins (Triple Eight).
Meanwhile, the Kiwi duo of Fabian Coulthard and Jaxon Evans had to settle for ninth and tenth respectively for Walkinshaw TWG Racing in their Toyota GR Supras. Coulthard's 1:17.7926 was just 0.0051s quicker than Evans.
The next-best rookie behind Hall was Campbell Logan, who impressed in 11th. His Tickford Racing teammate Reuben Goodall was 15th in the car he will share with Thomas Randle.
The session ran without incident. The results provide teams with valuable data as they finalise their line-ups and strategies for the upcoming endurance races.
