Formula 1, Sportrik Media - Red Bull Racing has secured a major commercial and technical boost ahead of the 2026 Formula 1 season by extending its title partnership with Oracle on a multi-year agreement understood to run through 2030.

The partnership, which began in 2022 under an initial five-year deal reportedly valued between $300 million and $500 million, has evolved into one of the most technologically integrated collaborations in modern F1. Oracle has played a central role in Red Bull’s competitive infrastructure, particularly in the development of the team’s first in-house power unit programme.

The new-generation power unit, built around a 50-50 split between internal combustion and electrical energy and powered by 100% sustainable fuels under the 2026 regulations, was engineered and tested exclusively using Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). According to the team, OCI enabled Red Bull to design, validate, and refine its power unit architecture within just four years of launching the programme.

Team principal Laurent Mekies underlined the strategic importance of the renewed agreement as Formula 1 enters a transformative regulatory phase.

“Since Oracle became the team’s title partner in 2022, the team has delivered three drivers’ world championships, two constructors’ world championships, and broken many records.

“Our partnership with Oracle has been hugely successful, and we are delighted that we will continue together into this new era for F1.

“We rely on Oracle’s invaluable expertise to help us understand and optimise countless variables with greater precision and speed than the competition.

“With Oracle Cloud and Oracle AI, we can adapt quickly, make smarter decisions, and sustain the level of performance required to win championships.”

Beyond branding, the collaboration integrates high-performance cloud computing and artificial intelligence into race strategy modelling, hybrid system optimisation, aerodynamic simulation and real-time data analysis. In an era defined by marginal gains and regulatory complexity, processing speed and predictive modelling have become decisive competitive tools.

Oracle CEO Clay Magouyrk emphasised that the partnership reflects the real-world application of enterprise-scale technology in one of sport’s most demanding environments.

“Oracle Red Bull Racing relies on Oracle Cloud and Oracle AI to achieve the highest levels of performance and solve some of the most complex, time-critical challenges in the world.

“The same technologies the team uses to model strategy, refine its hybrid power unit, and deploy the latest AI innovations trackside are the ones powering transformation to companies across every industry.

“Whether on the track or in the enterprise, Oracle Cloud and Oracle AI deliver the speed and intelligence needed to win.”

The extension comes at a critical juncture for Formula 1. The 2026 power unit regulations significantly increase the electrical component’s contribution to overall output while maintaining sustainable fuel usage, placing heightened emphasis on energy management, thermal efficiency and system integration.

For Red Bull, long-term technological stability is essential as it navigates the transition to the new regulatory cycle. The synergy between power unit simulation, hybrid modelling and strategic data processing is expected to intensify under the evolving ruleset.

With the 2026 season set to begin in Australia, the renewed agreement ensures that Red Bull enters the championship’s next phase backed by a fully embedded technology partner through the remainder of the decade. The continuity signals confidence not only in competitive ambitions but also in the central role of advanced cloud and AI systems in shaping Formula 1’s modern performance landscape.
