Pramac team director Gino Borsoi has revealed that parting ways with Jack Miller at the end of the MotoGP season was one of the hardest decisions, both for the team and personally.

Borsoi admitted that a rider and a person like Miller deserve to stay, but "sport is sport," and sometimes teams and riders must go their separate ways. The Australian first raced for Pramac on Ducati machinery from 2018 to 2020, claiming nine podiums and earning a promotion to the factory squad.

After a stint with Red Bull KTM, Miller returned to Pramac for its new Yamaha era in 2025, taking a best finish of fourth during the final season of the Inline M1. This year, he has managed a high of eighth on the underpowered V4 machine, a result beaten only by Fabio Quartararo.

Like Quartararo and Alex Rins, Miller will leave Yamaha at season's end, making way for Moto2 title contender Izan Guevara at Pramac. However, he is tipped to remain in blue by switching to Yamaha's WorldSBK project, having raced a factory R1 in the Suzuka 8 Hours for the past two years.

Borsoi expressed gratitude for Miller's relentless effort, even during the most difficult moments. Owner Paolo Campinoti added that Miller will always be part of the Prima Pramac family, noting that some riders leave a lasting mark on history.
