Polini expands its well-known Hi-Speed range with a new generation of gaskets designed for classic Vespa engines, 50cc scooters, and small-displacement enduro and motard models. This move addresses one of the most overlooked yet crucial components in any mechanical work: the gasket.
Although it may seem simple, a gasket has a critical mission. Its ability to maintain sealing determines proper engine function, resistance to operating temperatures and pressures, and overall reliability. That's why Polini developed these new Hi-Speed series as a higher-quality alternative to conventional gaskets, which in certain applications can lose their properties and require frequent replacement.
Technical Materials for Every Application
One of the standout features is the selection of specific technical materials based on each gasket's function. The goal is to combine reliability, mounting precision, sealing capability, and durability, even under demanding operating conditions.

Polini uses FOAMET, a material with a special aluminum core coated with NBR rubber of 50 ShA and a closed-cell structure. This combination provides high resistance to mechanical and thermal stress, withstanding temperatures up to 200 degrees Celsius. FOAMET also excels in sealing and has elastic recovery above 50 percent, ideal for maintaining the seal amid variations and stresses during engine operation.
Ready for Extreme Conditions
For certain applications, Polini incorporates a special technical material based on aramid and mineral fibers. This solution is designed to withstand particularly harsh working conditions, offering thermal resistance up to 280 degrees Celsius and maximum pressure of 80 bar.
