Palmowski Admits Zandvoort Pressure Despite Dominant Win

Alisha Palmowski has admitted that her fourth win of the F1 Academy season at Zandvoort was far from straightforward. The Red Bull Racing driver faced intense pressure after a difficult start to the weekend.

Palmowski began the weekend in fine form, taking her fourth pole of the season. However, in the Reverse Grid Race, her car stalled twice at the start, leaving her to finish 12th. It was a setback that she was determined to overcome in the Feature Race.

Despite another imperfect launch in the Feature Race, Palmowski managed to hold onto the lead. Pressure from Alba Larsen and Natalia Granada early on made the opening laps challenging. "I had even more pressure from Alba than I did from Chiara at Silverstone," she explained.

The championship leader admitted to feeling relieved after taking the chequered flag. "The team have worked incredibly hard, especially this weekend with the changing conditions. We had some car issues yesterday, so they worked late to fix it," she said.

Palmowski also acknowledged that her starts need improvement ahead of Austin. "There was too much wheel spin off the line, so it's something I need to address," she confessed.

With this result, Palmowski extends her lead in the championship, proving once again that she thrives under pressure.
