Ott Tanak and Martin Jarveoja will make a competitive return at the Overmountain Rally in Tennessee, part of the American Rally Association (ARA) series. The Estonian crew will pilot the second Toyota GR Corolla Rally RC2, joining Seth Quintero and Topi Luhtinen in a test-focused campaign.
This appearance is more than just a one-off; it's a strategic move within Toyota's ongoing development programme. The team aims to gather crucial data about the local gravel roads, which are currently being evaluated as a potential venue for a future WRC round in the United States.
Team principal Jari-Matti Latvala has already tasted success on American soil this season, winning the Olympus Rally with Tuukka Shemeikka. Now, Tanak gets his shot, marking his first competitive rally of the season after stepping away from the World Rally Championship at the end of last year.

The 2019 world champion hasn't been idle, though. Throughout spring and summer, he has been busy testing Toyota's new car built to the 2027 regulations. Earlier this summer, Tanak and Jarveoja also served as the zero car at the ERC round in Rome, gathering route information as Rome prepares to replace Sardinia as the host of Italy's WRC round next year.
With Toyota's commitment to development and Tanak's undeniable talent, all eyes will be on Tennessee. It's a chance to see the Estonian ace in action again and to gauge his adaptation to the future machinery.
