Ahead of the United States Grand Prix weekend at the Circuit of the Americas, Oliver Bearman has openly acknowledged that the Italian manufacturer holds a major say in determining the trajectory of his Formula 1 career. Team announcements regarding Haas lineup for the upcoming season continue to develop, with Rafael Camara confirmed to make the step up from Formula 2 to the premier class next year.
Although clarity regarding the team's driver roster has begun to take shape following Esteban Ocon's departure, discussions surrounding a long-term contract extension for the young British driver remain ongoing. When asked about renewing his tenure with the American outfit, he emphasized that both parties share a mutual desire to continue their partnership.
"On my side, and I think on Ayao Komatsu side as well, if I’m not mistaken, we’re very sure that we want to continue working together," the driver told media members ahead of this weekend's practice sessions. However, he noted that certain contractual sticking points remain out of his direct control and are currently being handled by his management team.

Elaborating further, the Maranello junior academy product explained that contract duration discussions involve multiple stakeholders, including his personal management and the factory in Italy. While expressing his immediate commitment to the squad, he also voiced medium-to-long-term ambitions of fighting consistently at the front of the grid.
"Of course, Ferrari is involved. At the end, I am a junior driver for Ferrari, and that’s ultimately the reason I’m here because of that. So of course they have a big say in what my future looks like," he concluded, highlighting the deep ties guiding his progression through the pinnacle of motorsport.
