Lando Norris and McLaren will continue together at least until the end of 2030. The 2025 world champion has signed a multi-year contract extension with the papaya team, including an option to extend the relationship further.
Norris grew up within the Woking-based squad after being promoted to a race driver in 2019. With this new deal, he will complete 12 consecutive seasons with McLaren, following in the footsteps of other long-term partnerships like Verstappen-Red Bull and Leclerc-Ferrari.
As a token of appreciation for his contribution, McLaren will also gift Norris the MCL39, the car that carried him to the world title in 2025.
“McLaren is my home, and I am really happy to have signed the contract renewal that will tie me to the team at least until 2030,” said Norris. “When I started this journey nine years ago, I had clear goals: to bring McLaren back to the top and win championships. We have achieved that, but we want more. We want to keep winning, and as a team we know we can do it. I can't wait to get back behind the wheel at Monza and I'm really excited about what the future holds for us, both for the rest of this season and the years to come.”
Norris is already the driver with the most races for McLaren, with 163 GPs. During his time at Woking, he has scored 13 wins, 18 pole positions, and 48 podiums, plus two Constructors' titles and the 2025 Drivers' Championship. The dream of repeating that success in 2026 is wide open, though he will have to overcome a tough challenge from Kimi Antonelli.
