Fresh off securing the championship crown, Nicolo Bulega reasserted his absolute dominance with a commanding performance during Race 1 at Estoril, putting a definitive end to his teammate's recent winning streak in the 2026 WorldSBK season.
Bulega immediately set the tone during an electrifying Superpole session by shattering Toprak Razgatlioglu's previous track record by a massive half a second. Despite this stellar pace, a slight error into Turn 1 on the opening lap dropped him down to third place behind Iker Lecuona, who claimed the holeshot, and closely followed by Alex Lowes.
True to his championship form, the Italian rider quickly reset his rhythm. By Lap 2, Bulega had already cleared Lowes' Bimota machine before executing a clinical, late-braking overtaking maneuver past Lecuona at Turn 1 on the following lap. From Lap 3 onward, he controlled the race pace flawlessly from the front to lock in his remarkable 27th win of the campaign.

Behind the dominant factory Ducati duo, the battle for the final step of the podium provided some of the most captivating racing of the day. Motocorsa rider Alberto Surra delivered an extraordinary performance, soaking up immense pressure from local hero and premier class race winner Miguel Oliveira.
Surra maintained remarkable composure under severe home-crowd pressure, holding a solid two-second margin over Oliveira to claim a hard-earned third-place finish. This stellar result marks the Portuguese rookie's finest achievement since his breakout performance weekend at Portimao.
