The MotoGP organization has officially tightened regulations regarding mandatory promotional duties for all competing riders. Starting immediately, any competitor who fails to fulfill their official promotional obligations faces a strict fine of 5,000 euros. This decisive policy was communicated directly to all participating teams during a special briefing session over the race weekend.
The primary focus of this sharpened enforcement targets the popular MotoGP Hero Walk, a scheduled Sunday morning fan engagement activity. Running for twenty minutes from 11.20 to 11.40 local time, riders are now strictly mandated to spend a minimum of ten minutes interacting directly with supporters, signing autographs, and posing for photographs in the paddock area.
According to the MotoGP Sports Entertainment Group, this firmer stance comes in response to a noticeable decline in rider attendance across various promotional events throughout the current season. Organizers emphasize that maintaining a strong bond between athletes and paying fans is vital, ensuring that supporters attending the Grands Prix are never left disappointed by empty paddock walkways.

Although these regulations follow recent paddock discussions regarding Marc Marquez missing a promotional karting event in Japan, series officials clarified that the new penalty framework had already been scheduled for implementation independently of that specific weekend's controversies.
Early enforcement signs reportedly emerged during the Indonesian round, where several riders allegedly fell short of the mandatory ten-minute duration during the Sunday Hero Walk. Those in violation now face the incoming 5,000 euro financial penalty, with organizers warning that persistent avoidance could eventually trigger severe sporting sanctions alongside monetary fines.
