Molly Taylor has been forced to put her anticipated return to competitive off-road racing on hold after a major event in the Middle East was officially called off. The Australian driver was set to partner with Kevin Hansen under the Veloce Racing banner for the high-profile fixture initially scheduled to take place at Qiddiya City in Saudi Arabia.
This outing was slated to mark her first major motorsport appearance since the birth of her first child. However, those competitive plans have now been shelved until 2027, delaying a much-anticipated moment in her professional racing career within the championship.
The cancellation was jointly announced by the FIA alongside local organizers from the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation through an official statement released on Tuesday. According to the governing bodies, the decision became necessary due to logistical and operational hurdles impacting the essential preparations required to deliver the event to the highest standard.

As noted in reports from Speedcafe, both the motorsport federation and championship promoters reaffirmed their dedication to bringing the hydrogen-powered series to fruition in the region. Extreme H stands as the technological successor to the former all-electric Extreme E category, pioneering sustainable mobility in motorsport.
While the delay alters the immediate sporting calendar for competing teams and drivers, preparations are already underway looking ahead to the future. A definitive date for the rescheduled 2027 championship event has not yet been finalized or announced by the organizing committee.
