When the race finally got underway following a near two-hour delay caused by torrential rain, Max Verstappen faced treacherous track conditions and software issues that plagued the grid. The reigning ace mastered the chaos, survived two Safety Car periods, and secured his first grand prix victory since Abu Dhabi last year, delivering RBPT Ford its maiden win as a power unit supplier.

The early laps brought massive drama as drivers gambled on dry tyres over a damp circuit. Kimi Antonelli capitalized early to lead before losing the top spot to Verstappen following the first Safety Car intervention. Meanwhile, the championship battle shifted dramatically as late reliability drama sidelined key contenders near the front of the field.

Further down the order, Lewis Hamilton staged a brilliant recovery from the back of the pack to claim the final podium spot. Intense battles throughout the points scoring positions involving Oscar Piastri, Liam Lawson, and Charles Leclerc rounded out a truly unforgettable afternoon in the paddock.
